I have a black 2001 SE 20th Anniversery Max. If I walk close to it, a scratch appears, sometimes down to the primer. Anybody else have problems with the paint on the 5th Gen?

We shouldn't have to go through this after spending 25K on a flagship car. Bottom line, Nissan paint sucks.

Everyday before I go to work I walk around my car to do a quick inspection (since I park on the street). I found this deep @$$ 3 inch scratch on the middle section of my hood!! WTF?? I could tell that the scratch is new becuz the little shavings of paint are still present. Who da hell did this? Cat maybe...doubt that though cuz it's only 1 line. This is gonna look nasty with touch up.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. This car should have paint that's tough enough to stand up to stuff like that. My black 93 Ford Ranger could.

OK, the paint sucks. Do I keep a gallon of touch up around? Do I use the colored wax that covers the dings and scratches? Do I complain longly and loudly to the dealer?
