I disconnected the airbag sensor by the glovebox, and now the light is flashing. I plugged it back in and tried resetting it myself about 6 times. I even had someone sit in the car and count the seconds off of a watch while I tried it, and nothing. Is there any other way besides the one that needs to be timed out to reset the airbag system without the dealer? Can the OBD scanner reset it?

I hope Consult II can do it.

I'd try to disconnect the battery for like a week and then try again.
