cold start....car almost stalls after putting in drive and hitting gas
I know it's not good when you start the car and drive off when it's been sitting cold for awhile, but sometimes when you have to get somewhere and don't have time to warm up the car, you got to go. Seems like when I start the car, put it into drive and before I hit the gas, the car almost stalls. I'm guessing it's a MAF issue but mines been replaced once

Another cold stumbling Problem!
I also have a cold stumbling problem. I changed my intake manifold gaskets. Put in all new spark plugs. Put in all new coils. Put in a new MAF sensor (third one). Put in a new air filter. It did not help one bit. What do you guys think is the problem? It's a 00 se. It has 101k miles on it. Tell me what is wrong! Thanks!

Once again chaps it's important to have a matched MAF assembly and ECM. There was a TB to replace the MAF ASSEMBLY on some of these cars along with an ECM reprogram to cure some of these "stumpling" issues. I think there was a separate TB as well, applicable to some cars for an ECM reprogram as well. A dealer can tell you if the car is "current" re any TBs. IF it is a recent occurance, cleaning the TB in the area of the throttle plate and IACV port followed by an Idle Air Volume Learning may help.

An IAC that is dirty or not adjusted right will cause the car to start and then die when cold, or it will stumble at an idle. A good way to see if it's the IACV is to see if the problem goes away while the throttle is open. If it does, then it would be your IAC, and start with cleaning it.
