Dang it, dang it, dang it!!

I went to Sears yesterday to get a battery for my Civic. They only have the cheapee $60.00 one for that car, so I was happy it didn't cost me much. It's one of those small, but tall, high center-of-gravity batteries. Anyway, I put the battery behind the driver seat on the floor mat and drive away. When I got home, the battery had tipped over, leaked a few drops of sulfuric acid on the mat, and ate away at the material, leaving these ugly holes in the mat! AAAUUUGGGHHHH!!!!

The cheap battery will end up costing me about $80.00 in new mats!

Sorry dude...That sucks. I hope that the dealership doesn't make you buy two new mats instead of just the one. New batteries shouldn't leak no matter how cheap they are.

uggh

you better take that new battery back if its already leaking, no telling what it could do to your civic if you install it.
