Clutch Pedal Travel Adjustment? (is there one?)

i remeber a thread from a was back about twisting something and getting less travel (quit a bit from what i remember). but i don't want to go crazy...i need maybee a 1/2" at most.

heres why, when my car is running and hte clutch is out (in nuetral, parked) i get a anoying chirping sound (throw out bearing?) but if i push the clutch in a 1/4"-1/2" it goes away.

so is there a way to adjust it just a little so the chirping stops?

thanks

I wonder if the throw out bearing is covered under the powertrain warranty.

same here, mine is really loud when i first start the engine, it quiets a bit after it warms up bit , man that s--t is annoying. sounds like a giant bee buzzing, once you press the clutch pedal silence. it gone.

until i need a clutch i guess the volume will be up on the radio.

If it does it with the clutch engaged (pedal up) it's not the TO bearing. More likely a trans bearing going bad. Have you checked the oil level?

no once i engage(pedal down) the clutch it stops completely. once disengaged the sound returns. whinning sound like you have a bad bearings on a pulley. it comes from right below the master cylinder area, where i could see the clutch linkage.
