Fuel pump noise?

Fuel pump noise?
Please note this isnt on my I30, but it occurs on my 01 Frontier. I figured its just a "general" kinda issue so you guys might have dealt with it before.
Basically, if I let the truck sit without use for a while (3-4 days), when I go to start it up I get the standard fuel pump buzz, but I also get a humming noise kind of like you would get if your power steering is low (kinda like a groan/moan, almost like a low-pitch version of when you make a "reed" out of a balloon and get that annoying noise). Its not the normal buzz, I know that much. And it only happens if I let the truck sit for a while (I havent noticed if its because the fuel level is low.........the low fuel light was on in the truck, but had only been on for a couple miles so I wasnt *that* low).
Almost sounds like there might be air in the system somehow, and the initial start is purging the air out somewhere. Any ideas?
Thanks!
