Not sure if your worried about output. But..Headlights with a greenish tint would have little to NO output, be horrible in the rain, you'll barely be able to see....just quit on that search, you'll revert back to regular halogens or hid's within 3 months...MAX.

About the light, you could use...Super bright led's, and wire them up, not really a conversion, and not to expensive. Very easy to do with a little electrical knowledge.

From what I have heard the new Lexus' use CCFL to illuminate the license plate.

I have custom made some LED lights for my car (Sentra) unfortunatly, the housings are EXACTLY the same from the 02+ Sentra and the 02 Maxima, just the polarity is opposite.

I will be making some for Zero2SixtyZ when I get more LEDs in. Pictures will be up when I get my LEDs in.

I started a thread about this a few weeks ago after having saw a GS430 in my neighborhood. Here was some feedback I got and disregard my idiot reference to them being HID's...

Looks good. I was wondering how that install went for you. I'm going to give these a shot. If they stink then I'll look into going CCFL.

I'm looking on autolumination right now and I had a question:

I'm looking for the light you described above but there are about 6 different lights and none of them appear to fit the description. For example there are
4- Star SMT
the Super Nova
The Super Star
The Super Star with metal heat sink etc.

In addition they are all different diameters. Which one do I choose?

I figure I might as well do the doors/dome as well. They're the same size right?
Thanks

Thanks,
That helped a lot. I ordered them although since I'm at work and the car is in the garage I wasn't able to check if the rear passenger doors had lights on them. I ordered enough bulbs though assuming the back doors do have lights on them.

LED 194s for the rear license plate lamps, and put in (12) 15,000 mcd leds into my door panel / side, wired into door pin switch, and same for LED strips mounted under each race bucket to illuminate floor.
Finally did the center console cubby lamp and also for trunk light I did UV bulbs...looks kinda tacky....but eh whatever....

I bought those superstar LEDs from Autolumination and used them in my license plate lights for about 2-3 months before they started flickering/strobing.

I don't know if it was the voltage spikes or the heat that killed them.

Instead, I took a different approach and put 16 white superflux-style LEDs with a voltage regulator in there instead. Looks MUCH nicer, and the closest I've seen to the Lexus license plate lights yet.

are those lights below your plate sooner? Or is it just an extremely symmetrical reflection?

thats just a reflection of the two bulbs (they are very bright and directional)
i probably should have gotten some that were more wide angle)

But yeah, I've had the Polarg 194 bulbs for my plate lights and doors and trunk for a few years now. I may have to switch over to some brigher LEDs.

I got these 168SW(194) wedge bulbs from lightlens.com and I initially thought they'd be too dim. but at night they look excellent. very good lighting and not pull-me-over brightness.

The bulbs are white but my car is majestic blue so the reflection is blueish. I had these for about a year now, and there's no flashing plus I drive by the police station everyday and had no problems.

i had those super wide angle LED's from Autolumination.com, AND i used to run through them like water...I guess because of my sub's in the trunk, I killed LED's almost once every couple months...after that They would individually start flickering and ****. I went back to the all white PIAA LEDS, but they arent bright enough for me, so i just ordered some of those bright LED's from frickinbrite.com

I bought my LED's from superbrightleds.com and it just illuminates 100 fold over the regular halogens. It lights up the plate, almost the entire rear bumper and a shine on the floor. AMAZING!

^^THEY USE the same LED's as www.autolumination.com. They even have the same website layout. But for the most part...if youve got subs in your trunk, then they will start flickering on you after a while..My guess is the vibrations start to slowly kill them off

I didn't think about them actually going out if you have subs in the trunk. I have the super whites too from them so I guess I should be smart about my music
