whatevers out there
I know these types of threads come along once a week, but need a little help with some ideas Im working on. Also any links to threads (by anyone who can search) would be great as well.
I recently swapped to the 2000-2001 intake manifold and im trying to work out a better intake setup than what I have now using A32 intake parts.
Cheers

every body has their own Secret method irish, just wanted to know what Ceasar used. Since his bay looks brand new, so Obviously he's doing something right. correct? Had nothing to do with doing a search for the info in another thread. why waste time.
to soonerfan for satisfying the question

Does anyone have a photo of the berk intake and any of the other intakes uninstalled. Its hard to tell how many nipples are on these intakes.
Very nice looking engine bays though. In person my engine bay is just average but from time to time i do spend the majority of an afternoon cleaning it. im just using a water hose, wrapping things in tin foil i dont wont wet, and then using simple green. after a wash down, a quick dry, spray the whole engine bay with armor all and wipe down again. Also get the vacuum cleaner out and suck up dirt and bugs from hard to reach places.
Is the 5th gen Maf sensor different than the 4th gen ? never noticed that before but it looks different?
At present im using a frankencar midpipe for a 4th gen and i dont like the curve/bend it has in the piping. needs to be straight i think and i looks like the berk style is straight. thanks for the photos, keep them coming if anyone else feels like posting

maf
yeah they appear different to me. also forgot to mention, back when I lived in the states you could buy Castrol Super Clean, came in a purple bottle. used to pick it up at walmart. now that stuff was strong. would mix with 50/50 water and it really did a great job on the engine bay.
engine detailing
i found tin foil to be great on wrapping electrical and anything you didnt want to get wet. some guys even take a floor mat out and lay it over the top of the UIM (upper intake manifold) while spraying. since that area can collect water. the old walmart bag for your aftermarket air filter works by wrapping the filter inside it, usually can cover a battery with one to, and dont forget to keep water away from the alternator.
rags, and different style brushes make the job easy.
another thing to keep in mind about some of these cleaners is not to let them sit to long or they can fade or discolor certain parts in the engine bay. if the engine is hot or you have sun shinning down on it, move to the shade and let the engine cool down. sometimes its a lot to clean for one person while your doing an engine bay cleaning. keep a water hose handy if it looks like its going to dry on you before you can finish and hose off.
intakes
maybe i can make this frankencar pipe work, with my small odyssey battery, maybe what i need is another pipe with a 45-90 degree bend to place the filter behind the headlight more.

Ceasar....the Berk intake for the 00-01 is the same as the frankencar with three openings off the end of the pipe sticking out of the midpipe (vacuum). the Frankencar also had a hole in it for the air temp sensor. For some reason the Berk does not, so most people just hang it someplace.
The 02-03 midpipes don't have the triple openings, just one larger one.
