Sticking clutch pedal

Hey I was just wondering if anyone knows about causes for a sticking/slow to rise clutch pedal. It started about a day ago and i dont know if it is because of the really cold weather (like 0-15 degrees) or what but it still happens after about an hour of driving so this answer seems unlikely. It just feels like the clutch is a little harder to press in and when i press it all the way to the floor, it doesnt seem to come up as fast as usual. Any ideas?

check your fluid level and try pumping the pedal.

Where would i check the tranny fluid (like just where is the dip stick or whatever). i tried pumping the pedal and it doesnt really do anything. it seems to stick randomly and at intervals. like sometimes it is ok and sometimes it will stick a little a couple times and then go back to normal.

it could be your master or slave cylinder. i have the same issue every once and a while. If it gets stuck down I have to abruptly tap the pedal a couple times and usually it comes up or if it is engaging weird, I'll pump the pedal a few times and it comes back. Worst case, I've had to turn the car off and wait a few seconds and then it's come back...replace the master or slave if you're really concerned.

I'm a new owner, so I don't have too much experience, but I did experience this the other morning when temperatures were in the single digits. I just chalked it up as a cold weather issue.
