had a nice run with a 5th generation tonight Minesota plates anyone here? -->
I was traveling to Indianapolis again, just got here as a matter of fact. On my way in, doing my normal 80 mph and saw this car pulled off to the side of the road with it's flashers on up ahead in the distance. The semi in front of me pulled to the left lane, then the car pulled back onto the highway. The car was fading in front of me- someone got on it hard. I didn't even see what it was. So, I figured I'd try to catch up just for curiositys sake. I managed to catch up and saw that it was a Maxima. Man those 5th generations are nice looking cars. We got caught up behind some semis and then kind of took turns driving in together or should I say flying? My 95 mph pace wasn't good enough after I passed him. He passed me at about 105, I followed. We took turns with the lead at around 100 , never racing or anything, as even with my mods, I doubt I could hold my own against any 5th generation Max. I had to exit, while he stayed on the Interstate. He flashed his lights at me, and I returned with the brake light flash before exiting. Could this be anyone here on the list?
Additionally, I can really tell a big difference with this Y pipe installed. My car has so much more power at the 2500 - 3500 rpm range while in 3rd gear or overdrive. Nice feeling. The VG is a great engine, as with 165,000 miles, I can still easily sore past the 100 mph mark. The car is still solid and smooth. The Maximas are great cars.
