Idle Relearn question...

Hi i was attempting to do an idle relearn a couple of days ago, but i stopped cause i got kind of scared

I got to the part where i had to take of the Throttle position sensor and then re-insert it within 5 seconds. As soon as i started to take out the plug, the engine started to rev rather high, so i just didn't take it out and left it plugged in. I was a little worried.

Is that normal? It probably revved to about 3,500-4,000rpm's by the sound of the engine, but i can't be too sure.

Thanks

normal. Idle problems you're having may be making it worse.
