For those who have had their engines REPLACED for oil loss under powertrain warranty by NNA:
Was the replacement engine NEW, USED, or REBUILT???

I'm starting to wonder what exactly Nissan is obligated to replace the "bad" engine with, in order to fulfill it's warranty obligations??

Also, did the recipients of this "new" engine get a 60k/60month extension on the warranty of that engine????
Nobody has ever mentioned this data b4 when discussing this topic, and I'm curious to know what NNA is handing-out. I imagine, not much - but if I actually get lucky-enough to be approved for a warranty replacement, I'm going to want some guarantees. It seems that some people are experiencing the same oil loss from replacement engines, and that just ain't kewl.

Please post-up if you've had a replacement engine from NNA, and can comment on these questions.

i working on my new engine right now (story in the first thread above).
im pretty sure it will be a rebuild. it wont have a "60K powertrain warranty" but will have the standard warranty on a part replaced under warranty. times vary but it was 20K for the tranny on my 00.
