Door Noise problem

Does anyone have a quick fix short of dynamating the doors to keep them from vibrating when the volume is up on a song with some bass? i tried to put some weather stripping and silicone but it seemed not to help and kinda made it worse.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Take off your door panel and find it? Wtf could it be? Maybe a harness...I suggest checking it out before spending any more money....

Your door speakers aren't exactly powerful...

It could be the speaker cone that could have a tear in it. If thats the case then ud need a new set of speakers. Or get sound deadener and put it around the speaker itself.

If its the speaker i actually might have a set lying around....

I would turn up the music...isolate the sound..mark the point..and then take off the door panel to see where it was...it could be a harness tapping OR it could infact be a blown speaker...

Try those things out..if it doesnt work just post here again

***also if you can, if you have a friend, get him to come over and listen to where its coming from as well ....2 head are better than one...***

I figured he was putting the bass to high in his trunk, and it therefore was somehow vibrating his door. I thought he was talking about an aftermarket system, but it was explained that it was all stock. If you take a look at my later responses you can see I changed what I was talking about.

very good info. When you find the problem just get some sponge and you can even duct tape it to the door /panel/harness etc as it is hidden inside the door.
Bang on the panel at different spots with your fist and then it should lead you to the area.
All you need is a little bit of time

replace it?
one of the tabs is probably broken. you could just use 3M double sided tape between the panel and the door

To make it easier to isolate vibrations you can buy a test tone cd, or make your own - there's a zip file at the link below that has a series of slowly sweeping sine wave tones. It's for measuring freq. response, but should work pretty well for finding vibrations.

Its not broken. From what i remember when sound deadening, its only held down by one screw which is located in the small "holder" behind the switches...no tabs.

we use felt tape that we put between 2 panels joining. It has glue on the bottom. But thin 3m tape double sided might also work.
Try also looking for felt tape in stores or something symilar.

I ended up just stuffing some cloth material into the door in the gap under the switch panel and it took care of it mostly. There are still some rattles elsewhere but W/E i can deal with them.

eventually if you spend time you will fix them all. Takes time and persistence
