new headers and VIAS
Hey guys, I've head the gen 3 cattman headers in for about a week now. Something I've noticed though, and I'm wondering if anyone alse has too. Before the install at exactly 4000 RPM I could really feel the VIAS kick in. Now with the headers I don't feel the transition. The power is obviously there but that little kick is gone. Anyone else notice the same thing?

Perhaps your VIAS isn't working
If you have no VIAS codes/MIL, then everything should be just fine. Although mine are Gen I's, I remember the little 'kick' wasn't as prominent as before after the install.
Just a technical note:
The stock tach is off. It looks like 4k on the tach, but in reality it is 3600. This can be seen in the FSM, and more importantly using another 'true' tach signal (SAFC/VAFC/Cipher
)

The only codes I have after the install are for the evap canister and high idle, which I had before the install. Waiting for stupid dealership to get me a new TB.
Well, if other people have noticed less kick, I'll take that as normal. I'll try to get a second person to rev the engine and I'll take a look at the little vacuum mechanism to double check though. Just wondering if it has anything to do with the improved air flow with no precats.
