Dust off an old chestnut, real aluminum dash kits

My wife wants to get me something for the car for our anniversary and usually the things I want are more than I'd like her to spend, but I've been noticing some scratches on various panels in the car and stumbled across the mimousa real aluminum dash kits. I know it's old school, but anyone have this brand and/or recommend it. Conversely, talk me out of it with reasonable alternatives. Thanks

I took a look at your ride, very nice, but I wish there was a little more of the alum look on the stereo/climate control face, almost like a gap showing off the original dash materials.

Molded dash kit. I just ordered my kit from: http://www.wooddashexperts.com/custo...me.php?cat=762

I got it in stainless billet. Not sure if you could get anything to cover up the HU. There is only a 9 piece kit offered. You might have to call them to see if you could get a piece for the HU. I called and I added 2 additional pieces to my kit. I got the instrument cluster piece and the clock piece from the 2002 kit.

I'll post pics whenever I recieve it and install it.

I saw these before i got my maxima and am currently saving up for this dash kit from cattman.com. I believe their stuff is legit. If anyone has a different story please tell me before I throw my money away on junk. here are some pictures.
they say "This is the best quality dash kit available, precisely cut from solid 100% aluminum instead of a picture glued to some plastic. Check out the pictures to see how sharp it makes the interior look; goes great with the aluminum gauge bezel. Don’t pay as much as $300, get it from Cattman Performance and save $100+."

Yeah those are real alluminum but they are flat pieces. The molded kit fit perfectly on the dash thats why they are expensive. The flat kit just sticks on top and you could see the edges.

The same company that I bought the molded kit from sells a flat kit also and you could get it in real brushed alluminum for $184. I thought about getting this kit but decided the molded would look better.

I ordered the molded 9 piece kit in stainless, also, from wooddashexperts.com and installed it. I love the look and the fit. It matched the AE shifter really well. I ordered a flat dash on a group deal a couple years ago. I sent it back because it would have looked like crap IMO. Molded is a little more expensive, but well worth it. I am extremely please with the look.

These days I won't get anything from the Cattman, but that's another story. Molded looks like the right way to go so I'm excited to see those pics Maximized2000
