tranny problem

tranny problem

between 2nd gear and 3rd it takes a long time for the tranny to shift.theres a long delay...every other gear is ok..anybody know a fix for this?? (02 maxima automatic)

when it shifts to 3rd it actually jumps up about 500 rpm between shifts

TCM problem
the TCM sends the signal to the tranny to tell it to shift. your TCM is having problem sending the signal so there is a delay

ok...what is a TCM and how do i correct this??

transmission control module
if it has a problem, there is no way to reset or reflash it to correct the problem. you have to buy a new TCM...or deal with the problem

and how much would that run me about?...it sounds like a lot

ok...ive been driving around w/this prob still for a while...and i realized...that the tranny shifts perfectly fine when it is hot out...or after driving the car for atleast a half hr...can this still mean that it is the tcm???
