$$$ to spend need suggestions

I have a few dollars ($2800) I can spend on the new 03 SE, what are some things you guys would buy? So far I've got a new radar detector and I ordered custom floor mats. I'm thinking about a brake and or exhaust upgrade and maybe a CAI or to save some $$ just a K&N filter. Also, will a 4th Gen FSB fit on an 03?

Depends on your preferences. I would personally go for handling/motor. not sure what the "good stuff" is for 5th gen suspension, but KYB shocks/struts and Progress springs on my car have been great. Get both FSB and RSB for some added stiffness. Brake wise-either go BBK or just upgrade pads and rotors to either RTP/Brembo rotors and Hawk HPS pads with some SS brake lines. Or you can get a 300zx front brake conversion that has 4POT instead of your stock 1POT.

Motor work-basics such as intake, FULL exhaust, UDP, and a TS flash.

wheels/tires as well, but that might cut your budget in half if you were to get some nice light-weight wheels with performance tires!

some tints would look pretty nice as well

that's all that I could think of for now

front strut tower bar, rear sway bar, new springs and shocks for now. Urethane motor mounts. Make it handle better before you add horsepower.

Is the car paid off? I probably sound like your dad, but if not why not put that extra cash towards the principal. Less interest and more cash in the long run FTW.

No its not paid off but I got my loan at a good rate, (I'm retired Army) and I normally can double up a payment when I feel the urge, so thats not an issue. I want to get some things now and support the few Specialty stores still around that serve us so they don't end up like Custom Enterprise. RIP

Suspension has to come first, search for some of the suspension threads in the 5th gen forum and decide what way you want to go (springs struts/ coilovers). Rear swaybar, front strut tower bar, and Energy Suspension everything.

If you want power, call Cattman and get new headers, call Berk and get an intake, if you have enough... Get an AFC and have the car tuned on a dyno, still have enough, get a Cattman B-Pipe.

Braking, cheap BBK... Upgrade to 6th gen brakes with Hawk HPS pads.

Stay away from an Injen intake and just a Y-Pipe for your car.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Aside from the normal things, like window tint, changing all the fluids and filters I just wanted a baseline list I could look at and get some ideas. I won't be doing any major changes until I've driven the car a few months and got a real good feel for it. But believe me your suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks again all.
