Dash kit removal

wow, havn't been on this site for so so long how r u guys doing?

i am planning to removal my dash kit because they look bad now lol, i remembered there was a thread to remove the dash kit, can anyone relocate that thread or can someone told me how to remove them?

i know i need to use the head gun to melt the glue but what about afterwards? just simply use the goo gone?

Yeah...its worst when its cold out. I just recently removed all the wood out my car. Used a heat gun and it took me 8 hrs to remove everything. Then it took me a few hours to clean the glue residue off with Goo gone.

Just remember to take your time when removing the kit because the more you heat it up the easier and the more glue you will remove from your dash.

Got my molded dash kit a few days ago...woo hoo

FYI, it will be easier to remove the whole piece from the car and take it inside to work on. when i put the kit on my 00, i took all the pieces inside to do. all the pieces come off

they are far more resistant to heat then the adhesive

a simply blow dryer will do the trick (and wont get to hot)
