It would be worth the money if it added power all through the powerband, instead of just a 1000rpm window. And it added 15mpg. And it sprouted gnomes every saturday that washed the car.

It's pretty though

It's worth the money per horsepower comparably to other mods, however I believe there is a bit of speculation as to whether or not it actually performs better than stock.

Its not worth the money unless you are going FI. For that price you can get headers which would give you more gains.

Well I already have hotshot headers, berk intake, and complete open cattman exhaust system for 2 yrs and it just keeps me wanting more and more hp. My friend here in el paso says he is going to purchase one,but untill he gets his tax refund. If I see good results on his car then I'll buy one too. I'll keep you posted on this project.

In your case, you should see better gains with your current mods. That said, if I were you, I'd spend the same money on an engine management system, tuning and install and get even better gains.... and gnomes.

I have about the same setup, and was looking at this SSV IM but for the gain that it gives is not worth the $819.99 + its seem about $20 for shipping.

Check the dyno sheet from their final product, and the test car has I/H/E.

that 14HP at 1,000 is sick... imagine... more HP and Torque at lower end

who needs traction anyway

In support for these gnome producing headers, I will say that most sheet metal intake manifolds (SMIM) do not typicallly make big power differences until around the stock redline and higher. As you can see on the dyno sheet the SMIM starts to really pull away from the stockers right before he lets off the gas. If someone were wanting to build a car reving to around 7 or 7.5 k you would probably be looking at much higher hp gains from this intake manifold...Prolly great for FI too.

Notice also the car was not tuned in either test.

Still a lot of $$$ tho.
