What's up man. Haven't seen you here for a while. That grill is pretty nice.I think I'd have to do it black It wouldn't work with the 5th gen bumper though.

The only ones that are decent looking are custom made.

Yea, just going to say, custom ones are the best. Someone used gutter mesh in between the stock grille and it looked amazing.

I went through a lot of material figuring out how to get it just right. I've made about 6 or 7 of these and sold them through the Org and e-Bay. I pretty much have it down now. A lot of cut fingers though

you should make a template and either sell that or just use the template and build grills to sell. might make a decent buck

I have templates that I use when making the pieces. I have an extra grill that I test fit them with just to be sure they're perfect with no gaps. It takes about two hours or more to go from the sheet of mesh to fully painted with the mounting wires installed. That's using the templates.

I have a couple already cut out and ready to paint if anyone wants one. I've been doing silver or black. I guess I could do any color though.

how bout a full black grill? stock painted black with black mesh? what kind of price do you charge for your grills?

I only sell the inserts, not the whole grill. They come as a kit painted with mounting wires attached. I also include printed instructions, with pictures, for removing the grill and instaling the inserts. I'll send you a PM since I don't want to hijack this thread too much.

I've seen this grille on ebay and the disclaimers is screwed. It's says:

It fits 01~03 Nissan Maxima. This is the upper grille only. It is not for a 20th Anniversary, GLE and 01 GXE. Make sure the shell of your vehicle is the same as the picture.

If it doesn't fit an 01, then why list it as 01-03!?! They should just say: Fits ONLY 02 and 03 Maximas.

02/03 grill comes right out. 00/01 is more difficult to remove. Requires removing the bumper. The opening is a different shape. I can't imagine an aftermarket grill fitting both cars ulness they are offering different grills.

so theres no easy way to remove the stock grille without removing the bumper. how about just break it and then install the billet one afterall the stock one is made of cheap plastic.

The 00/01 grille and bumper are ONE piece. Do a search on ebay and you will see.

You can ask, but if they state that it will NOT fit a 20th AE, GLE and 01 GXE, then it makes sense that it will not fit any of the 00/01 models. Also, the valence grille are 2 piece. 00/01 should be one piece.
