Just Graduated to 5th Gen....

Okay,

I have been a member here for 6 years, but this weekend, I just graduated from 3rd Gen to 5th Gen. I bought this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=180095131467

I have some questions, but I'll try NOT to newb you all to death with the same stuff.

1. Does anyone recognize this car? It came from Miami. The guy I bought it from has only owned it since August. He is not a member here. I thought it might have been a member's car once, because of the custom leather, and the fact that it has a stiff clutch pedal.

2. Does this car have more than one O2 sensor?

That's all for now...I guess I'll just proceed to acquire all the bolt ons, (intake, y, pulleys, etc. It already has a decent exhaust.

Nobody here would have that muffler.

Apparently so. I paid $5500 for a 2000 Auto SE (cloth) with 122k, so $6100 sounds like a good deal.

Thanks.

I would not have chosen it, but it's good enough for right now.

Yeah... 139...

The O2 Sensor code.

Anybody have any info on which of them is the most likely culprit.

I actually paid $5800 for it. He knocked off $300 to help with my plane ticket($275), fixing the AC ($115) and a new set of tires ($500).

Congrats - definately an odd combination of black leather seats and door inserts contrasting with the OEM tan/beige.

Congrats on the car. I notice you mentioned a stiff clutch pedal. Did the seller tell you of the last clutch maintenance? A stiff pedal denotes the pressure plate may be going weak.

Good choice, congrats!!!! Remember the 5th gens are the ones that get the ladies, so I hope your single LOL. As for the clutch a prince1 is right that sounds like your pressure plate is going out. I have a Exidy stage 1 and its softer and more smooth then stock.
