You have an SE so you should have the polished stainless ring, that I dont know if it comes off you might just have to cut it down the middle and bend it off. Far as I know the tips are part of the muffler

I could have sworn it was screwed in... Not sure., I went to an exhaust shop and paid like $30. They removed and installed the magnaflows I bought.

I got mine removed a while ago and I believe it is held on by a screw. The screw probably runs right between the two pipes. Its a bish to remove though. Don't think it needs to be cut off or anything like that.

yeah, it definitely does screw in.. the screw like tightens this metal wire around the exhaust tips.. but its no doubt rusted like a b*tch... what u gotta do is just bang it with a hammer or something hard to loosen up the rust and itll come off after a few good bangs toward the back of the car.. i did the same thing cause that stock tip is ugly as h*ll...

yeah the screw or bolt w/e it was was just a chunk of rust, so i said F it and did it the easy way w/ a reciprocating saw and hacked it up.

yea just remove the screw and its usually rusted in place so i used my arm strength and a rub mallet to loosen and just pull it off
