Sounds like a heat shield, I took part of mine off where the b-pipe bends. It only took me about 5 mins to do just a few 10 mm bolts. I have hose clamps on all of the rubber exhaust hangers so if you haven't done that I would suggest it.

i did all of that. i have hose clamps on the hangers. i disconnected the muffler from the bpipe and tapped the muffler itself. and it rattled. i thought it was the resonator or the bpipe but its definitely coming from the muffler. and i dont wanna sell this defect to someone else. i can make another video of the rattle from under the car. its very loud and annoying. i can hit the muffler wit my hand and it rattles. heres another video

go to the exhaust sticky and there are a few vids of my hks on my car. i like the sound. some say it's too loud, but i used to have an old 90 gmc truck with a two chamber flowmaster dumped, so to me this exhaust isn't loud. i like the sound it gives, the only thing that sucks is that unless you find a new one they are hella exspensive to buy brand new.

Have you tried adjusting the hose clamps? Maybe they are too loose or too tight. I had to loosen mine a bit after I put them on. It's most likely hitting the tunnel pass through area over the axle up top. I actually have hose clamps on my b-pipe hanger(s) as well so if you don't them you should install some. If you still have a rattle then you could wrap part of the real section in header wrap to pad it, or get some DIY exhaust hangers from an auto parts store (the kind that wrap around). You kind of have to think outside the box a little but your problem shouldn't be that hard to fix.

Wow, that sounds like a jackhammer!

maxspeedse02, what are the hose clamps that you are using? Don't you just use standard exhaust hangers? The reason I ask is because my Cattman is hitting up against the right side of my Stillen valence. Could hose clamps give me the needed adjustment?

as you can read here i said that i already have clamps on the hangers. its not banging against anything under the car. my exhaust is pretty stiff with the ypipe and all. i literally disconnected the muffler from the bpipe and hit the muffler with my hand and it makes that terrible rattle. i got the exhaust when if first came out back like 2 years ago i had not problems until november 2006. i just read somewhere that frankencar doesnt make maxima stuff anymore?

i found the clip, it sounds really nice. somewhat loud.. reminds me of my old maxima. if i got the hks i think i would keep the resonator
