getting it used for real cheap, guy says he puts power to it and it goes on, just want to make sure nothing seems out of the ordinary.

kinda what i was thinkin, but werent there some ebay knockoffs or am I thinking about something else?

If you do get problems with it, check the harness first. There some people here that were getting problems with it, after they change the harness everything was fine.
