I would to generate some data on folks who have experieced/experiencing power steering related issues in the 5th gen maxima's.

I am experiencing hard steering at slow speeds (parking lots) and wanted to collect data on source of the problem -- rack vs pump failure... I don't know where to start fixing the problem (my local nissan dealership has thrown his towel on it saying everything is fine, in his terms fine means no leaks, whatever...)

Pl. pitch in with ur comments.

 

i havent experienced a problem with my steering.. however, i am leaking power steering fluid... i was changing by belt when i realized that i have alot of fluid saturating my power steering pump and the area around it, so im guessing the pump is leaking
