Jeff from importrp said it would be 3-6 weeks (or somehting like that) to get black ones....trying to get all my projects done before we move, so I didn't want to wait.

I hear you there. I've got so much going on I can't even find space or time to change the oil in my Maxima. Had to take it in FTL.

Look at your smart@ss remark to sooner. I guess your not the "mature aged adult" either. But then again a newbie like you aren't here long enough to know jack$hi+ about any of the veterans on this forum. If you had paid attention to how sooner wrote his comment you would have noticed that he was being sarcastic.

Back on topic, had to flame a newbie on trying to act like a smart@ss.

Josh, I like that new engine cover color of yours. Would you be able to do that for my car too?

Don't know about your engine cover, but I'd be happy to paint your hood that color

You absolutely positive it doesn't go on the crossover tube underneath the upper radiator hose?

yes. I took that tube off and compared the two. Not even close...almost twice the diameter.

actually, you know how I said

Oh, and since they are blue, they are good for a gain of 26.5whp/33wtq on the dyno, FTW!
well, that was just with the upper radiator hose in. With both, the gain is 88.2whp/117wtq....

I'm going to have to say: DO NOT buy SAMCO since they clearly don't stand behind their products or provide any kind of customer service.

Jeff (importrp), have you had any luck with contacting Samco about this? This is kind of pissing me off, considering how much these hoses cost they should be correct. If you can provide me with the distributor you bought them from before sending to me, I will contact them directly and have a discussion.
Have you ever figured out where the third hose went? Sorry for bringing the old thread back. I just ordered a set myself. Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with blue, unless you drive with you hood open. (in fact, I purposely chose the blue over black, so that I can easily distinguish the cooling system from the other wires/hoses. Did the same to my truck too. ).

Just curious....don't the hoses have to be yellow to get the horsepower gains?

Don't want to get into the silly argument about the color business again. But just want to let you guys know that you can pick up the the kit for $42 (available in black, blue or red) from summitracing.com; about the same price as the OEM but in silicone...

BTW, Samco makes the kit to fit max from 95-01, so I suspect that the 3rd short hose is for the 4th generation... I will try to confirm this when I get a chance.

[Edit] Just looked for 3rd short hose under 95 maxima, and could not any place for it either.
