Mass Air question

i have an 01 AE and I know that I need a new MAF for some time now. My question is why does the new MAF come with 5 pins on the female plug and my OEM sensor only has four ? I am confused and have been reading posts for hours and cant figure out if this is the right part and the fifth pin doesnt get used or do I have to do something similar to the 01 maf upgrade to the 02

I notice this when I replaced mine. Maybe it's an extra ground, which is not hooked up at the connector.
