courtesy stb
ok, i think i'll be getting the courtesy fstb in about a 1000 miles (she's only at 700 and i want to see what she can do without it first - have to wait another 300 for break in to end). Anyway, the flame red ends are ugly, in a bad way. Can they be painted, would i need special paint or could i just spray paint them, cuz I'm trying to stick with a black and silver theme on the max. Anyone done this? would i need special prep for underhood temps or just that high heat paint?

Painted FSTB
I painted the end brackets using Tempo Professional Choice semi-flat black enamel (no. 820) available at automotive paint shops. I've used this same paint in the past and it's an exact match for the black paint most auto manufacturers use under the hood. It also works great for touching up the windshield wiper arms when the weather takes it's toll.
