Clutch was changed and now the car wont start. The car will start and run, but has a skip in it, shut the car off and then it wont start again and smells bad of fuel.

We took it to a shop and he is thinking we installed the flywheel wrong, I knwo we put the timing ring gear on the back side. We alraedy replaced the crank sensor hoping that was it.

Any ideas?

 

It does seem like a likely cause for not starting. Did you do the clutch job DIY?

 

Yeah and we have done 4 other maximas without any issues. However this was the only one that had the flywheel removed, resurfaced and replaced.
