How to use seat memory without the auto slide feature in GLE

'02 GLE has seat memory but that seems to work in conjunction with the auto seat slide option where when door is opened, it slides the seat back allowing occupant to get out of car. In my opinion, this is a useless feature. How to use the memory feature and disable the seat slider feature? Ideas please ..

Guys. please get real. The seat slide cancel switch cancels the seat memory option as well. Memory only works if i put seat slider to auto mode. Ideas please.

So are you all saying there is no way to disable the seat slider while keeping the memory working? Is there a separate fuse for slider that I can just pull out ? I didn't see one when I last looked. Come on guys .. put on your think hats.

You have to kidding. Just leave the switch on cancel then when you need to use the memory seat function, briefly put the switch on Auto. That's what I do, it's not that difficult.
