It would help greatly if you tell us what was done, if anything, while your car was at the body shop...Also, typically with these cars, we dont get an ABS illumination unless something dealing with the ABS itself has been disconnected or even if a fuse has been blown or removed for the ABS...Check these things out then get back to us!

My abs light came on then when off after i restarted my car, then the service engine soon light came on, so i took it to the dealer they said that it was the abs control module and that for the part its $1,189.50 to replace. but they said that they will reset the computer and to let them know in a week or so if it comes back on. in the mean time my car has been driving alot better, it feels alot lighter like the throttel is not electronically controled any more, is this a problem, could it bee something else. i'm not conplaining, but its a little scary 2002 gle

no autozone does not read the abs light codes only trouble shooting codes.

I checked all the fuses already. It was the first thing that I did.

Could the shop have disconnected something?

When I had my Stillen lip installed my body shop ripped the wire right out of my passengers sensor.

Check for a hanging wire anywhere in your wheel wells.

My ABS light just came on this morning as well. I started the car, then about 30 seconds after I get the yellow light staring me in the face. I drove to work without any problems. I ran an errand at lunch and it was on again. After starting it for the 3rd time, the light did NOT come on. I suspect that when I go home (in a few minutes) the light will return.

There has been no work done to my car and is garaged kept. Personally, I'm not interested in paying the steelerships > $1,000 for something that's probably very simple, but I would like a fully working vehicle!

Many thanks to those who help diagnose our issues... car issues that is...
