Wheel bearing replacement...
I am planning to replace my driver side bearing this weekend. I have read through the motorvate website http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/704 and was wondering if there are any other extra pointers. As from other threads I searched, the best thing to do is to bring the hub to a shop to get the old bearings pressed out and the new bearings pressed in. The bearings I am looking at are sealed bearings (I think those are the only ones you can buy, correct me if I am wrong).
Can I bring the hub in like this:

or does it have to be further dissambled to this point:

I guess it depends on the shop but any info would be greatly appreciated. Any brands I should consider also?
Thanks

You can bring it to the shop either way. Just be sure to tell them how you will be bringing it so they can give you an accurate price quote. It you have the tools, bringing everything in disassembled may save you a couple of bucks.
Be sure to have them check the spindles when they disassemble everything. It may be worn and may need replacement as well.
