Wreck.. How much to fix??
I hit a blazer today. Both fenders are not aligned and the driver headlight housing is broken, and as you can see the passenger one is gone, also i think the radiator is shot because its leaking antifreeze. Do you guys think they will total it??.. if not how much do you think they'll quote the damage at with all OEM parts?

If you get cheap work, you will get cheap results, if insurance covers it, take it to a good shop the recommend. I know Allstate does a lifetime warrant on Allstate approved shops. Good luck. your lookin at 2k in parts alone
fenders $150ea
Hood $300
Headlights $600
Bumper cover $200
radiator $150
Radiator support ?
Foglight $50
Grill $75

Not if he wants OEM replacements... I just called Dave B about the headlights a few weeks ago... $570's/ea, i was also quoted a new radiator by nissan last month $750 (inc labor) to replace just the radiator and I have always seen the fogs for around $150.
If he goes non-oem yeah he can knock down the price, but that is what nissan will quote.

I had less severe damage but simular areas. Mine cost $4300 for non-OEM parts. the Lights alone will eat close to $1400, and I only had to do one. front Facia will be in the $300 region non-OEM. your car is old enough to where they're only going to approve the aftermarket stuff. I never had to do my fenders, radiator, or core support, so my conservative estimate will be around 7000-7500. So long as the frame's not bent and the Collision stuff did it's job, your Insurance company will more likely approve to fix it. I knew a guy who had $18,000 worth of work done to his 5year old ford pickup, they basically rebuilt the whole damn thing from scratch. I was absolutely shocked they didn't total it out for what they paid on the work done to it. I mean, he coulda purchased a slightly newer truck with less miles for that much!

I gotta go with sooner on this one... that thing is a total loss. Even if they fix it, I would trade that sucker in. Your engine pretty much smashed into itself, and my experience has always been that once you hit head on like that, it's never the same. Front end impact like that takes a whole bunch of life off the engine before major repairs kick in.
Either way, I'm betting they total it. If they don't, trade it in for something else.

Most definitely totalled or in excess of $7000. I hit a deer less than a month ago and All State quoted new HID at $742; fenders are definitely more than 150, btw.
If they don't total, I'll be surprised and be sure to DEMAND OEM parts. It's your right.
Only 1 way to find out though. Get it to the insurance instead of getting random guesses on here.

Jeez...hope everyones alright. Your car is most likely totaled...and youre lucky if you have collision cause i am 17 and sure as hell cannot afford it. $1198 a year with comprehensive and $2475 a year with collision. I have no choice but to go with the comprehensive cause my parents did not spoil me and I paid my car in full, pay all gas and maintainence, and all insurnace. Only thing my parents have paid for was my first tank of gas ($35). This is probably why I am so **** about my car....

To roll a blazer... Anything over 5mph should do the trick.

no. my brakes locked up.. i dunno why tho.. i guess its because the wheels were turned when i smashed the brakes, oh and the people in the blazer were fine.. just a couple cuts on there arms.. i dont even think they were wearing seatbelts cuz when i ran up to the car they were both curled up at the bottom of the car

When your wheels are turned there's less contact patch so it increases the likely hood of a skid.
8k is a little high to me, If you can source the parts yourself you'd probably spend no more than $2k on labor + paint. I had a similar accident in my Del Sol a few years ago and spent ~$2500 on parts and a frame alignment. All work was done by me. I bought hood, fender, core support, radiator, headlights, lower control arm (junkyard), engine cradle (junkyard), cv shaft. Most of the work isn't difficult. If you have the time I would do what I can and then bring it to a shop. This will cut down on the labor hours (~$70) that they charge you. If you do decide to get it fixed through insurance then all you have to do is request oe parts if not they will use aftermarket. Requesting OE does not increase the repair cost, insurance companies are obligated to use them if requested. If you need more info on changing the core support fender or any other stuff just pm me.
