VQ35DE - All made the same?
VQ35DE - All made the same?
Ive heard in various threads and track times large differences in pretty much the same statistical maxima but different performances were had. My question is taking all variables out of the equation ie. Driver, wind, temp. In theory everything is the same. Do you think both cars would perform the same. Or is there freak vq35de's out there?
Thoughts?

I can't imagine you could ever get two motors built even in the same plant one right after another to behave exactly the same, regardless of how strict QC and all are.

the extra displacement is good 50 whp. I dust allz YO azzes. yeeeah.

All engines aren't EXACTLY the same, there will be slight differences, but temperature, humidity, elevation, barometric pressure, tires, suspension, driver, track surface, etc. will make the the biggest difference. That's why all the big Supra drag meets are in Houston, it's at sea level, which makes for denser air, which makes for faster times.

are you asking about a complete running engine or 1 of the 1,000's of parts that goes into it?
machining and casting of various parts will vary slightly from time to time...and at rare ocations there with a aligning on the planets and all hte parts will fit so perfectly you might have a few extra horse.

There are tight tolerances on all VQ parts (don't have the specs, yes I know, I'm worthless), but...
My 3498cc > your 3500.00000029485cc.
