I need to install 2k1 headlights on my 2k2, this will be the 3rd time headlights were stolen. I dont want to put them back again. I allready got headlights working but they are dim and now my rear running taillights dont turn on.. SO does anyone know how to convert the wiring for the headlights to 2k1 from 2k2? PLEASE thanks

You might not get a lot of useful information here. A lot of members will think that this could theoritically be done in reverse (from non-HID to HID conversion).

Too many members have had their HID lights stolen, and do not want to encourage thiefs to steal others' lights because installation instructions are online.

 

that doesnt make sense... Im going reverse, i have a 2k2 car with 2k2 headlights, im not trying to put back hid, im trying to wire up 2k1 headligths,

I think i understand what your saying but i live in ny and been a member to the forums for over 4-5 yearsa, if you look up my old posts youll see that i had my lights stolen 3 times, another 1995 maxima turbo complety stolen from me and a i30 stolen and used in a robbery. So if anyone has the information and doesnt want to post at least pm me with them

I have a 2000 with regulars, but my next door neightbor has a 2003 and had his headlights stolen 5 times and insurance is giving him a hard time and currently he is running without any headlights... i told him i was going to look for info on installing regular headlighhts...


So if you find anything, please share the links.

go to the junkyard..buy the 00-01 lights and cut the harnesses...then rewire/splice everything and put them onto your car.

 

^ Exactly, but does anyone have a schematic for which wires go where? I'm about to install 02/03 projectors (retro'ed) and need the exact opposite.

 

yea, i got the harnessess already hooked up.....i need the correct wiring diagram becasue the taillights arnt turning on and the head light are dim since there is a difference in voltage

That really sucks dude. It would be nice to catch these suckas in the act. You could make sure they'd never steal you stuff again. Now I'm hesitant about upgrading to HIDs. My Accord was stolen last year so i know the fustration. Good luck with the retro fit.

 

well im in baltimore, and ive never heard tell of any one stealing some 5.5 gen headlights from cars....

 

sooo close, im a try to connect them via the fogs and grtound the left over wires, i dont know lool
