HID conversion

Im really looking to doing an HID plug-n-play kit conversion for my 5th gen
(2001). I was looking on ebay at kits available and the price ranges were pretty broad. Obviously u get what u pay for but what should be a reasonable price for a reliable HID kit (wont burn out, cause electrical problems, etc.)? Any brand in particular?

just buy from him, seems like a very good seller. and you cant beat the price/warranty. Also i would consider the AE mod on your headlights, its free and looks amazing on any color max. enjoy!

Thanks for the quick replies... question tho: the bi-xenon kit is for the high-low beam correct? About the headlights, I have the 20th AE so my lights are already blackhoused, lol.

BTW, I found a kit on ebay for 160 shipped. Is that too cheap? It has a 1 yr. no hassle warranty and the whole water-proof, vibration resistancy. Anything I should look out for?

your welcome bro, the bi-xenon kit are indeed for the high-low beam....even though you have the AE version they still use the Dual filament H4 bulb which is HI-LO BEAM in one bulb

well that depends on your electrical and technical expertise, as well as your ability to follow directions.........i know most shops will charge u amy where from 50-100 bucks for the install...i know plenty of the .org members will tell you to install the lights your self

me personally I DONT think they are that hard at all, everything is pretty straight forward...and if you look around you'll find lots of write ups, and how-to's for the install

that is most likely single HID beam. Meaning..... HID lows and halogen high....these types of HIDs the GD has as well for a little more. And yes the GD does send next day, which is crazy fast. for the same warranty and what not, why not buy from someone on the org where there are many customers that you are around and can deal with? Ebay....is like last resort for me, unless it is a great deal... low 100's....but for the same price for even a little more i'd rather buy from the GD. As for the install fairly easy, the plugs only go in one way. mounting the ballast might be the hardest thing IMO.

To sum up: buy from the GD, and install yourself or have an org member do it for lunch and a beer or something.
