Header Heat Shield Removal Question

Header Heat Shield Removal Question

Will it hurt anything to leave my header heat shields off after my install? are they neccesary for anything?

Mine is off as well, actually looks better without it mine was a bit rusted!

I think putting the Heat shield on would be a benefit. While It's normal to yank'em and leave'em after a header install or maybe weight savings, I feel that they give the benefit of reflecting heat away from the radiator and the connectors for the O2 sensors which are right above that. Your choice really.

Lol, that color scheme has been changed since those pictures. Ill post new ones at some point.
