Offset for Wheels on 5th gen

Is the offset for 5th gens the same as 4th gens? For the 4th gens it is 35-40 mm. One wheel I like has an offset of 42. Is that too much?

hmmmmm

I thought it was 40. I'm not sure how much the off-set will affect the driving. I think the main thing it gives trouble is the ABS. I remember reading that here somewhere. Don't quote me though.

I think it'll just stick out a little more? at 42 you will have a little more of the wheel toward the inside of the centerline of the wheel I think. The 4th and 5th have same offset I think. the Wheels may ( note: maybe) hit the inside parts of your wheel wells when turning or struts. You might want to check it before actually buying them. Also it may change the handling characteristic of the car too
