Master Cylinder Problem?

Hi,
I'm getting a clunking noise from the rear, every time(almost every time) I brake. i step on the brake, then I hear a single clunk, and the braking continues.
I replaced calipers, rotors and pads thinking that it will fix the problem. It did.. for few weeks..
A friend said that it might be a master cylinder problem.. is he correct?

If it's coming from the rear only, it's probably not the master cylinder. It could be related to your parking brake.

definitely rear only.

should I remove/release e-brake lines from calipers for few days and see if it changes anything?
anything else I can do? It does not happen every time... I went to a mechanic few times, but of course - everything was perfectly fine then... I leave the shop, and the noise starts again ;-)

If everything else is new, the parking brake is about the only thing left that it could be, unless it's not brake related at all. I don't know this car well enough yet to be sure about this, but you could disconnect the parking brake and see if the noise goes away. If it doesn't, I would guess it's suspension related, not brake related. Have you checked your struts to see if they're loose?

it's your pads/ shims 100%. Did you get aftermarket pads?
When you drive they get pushed back and when you brake they move again until they set in slider shim. You need to have shims installed if you don't already and an oem pad. Also lube your slider part of the pad with copper slip or brake lube
