Knock Noise from back right wheel when I slow down!

Please help - everytime when I appraoch a stop sign or a red light I hear a knocking noise when I am at like 20 miles and hour or less. Could it be the strut?

When I slow down on the highway from like 70 to 20 its perfectly fine , it only happens at low speed. Please help.

Maybe a loose muffler hanger allowing the muffler to swing forward? Do you have a RSB? Maybe it's banging.

I would just jack the car up and start looking at things.

Is there a rhythm to the knocking? Does it slow down as you're slowing down?

passenger side firewall? Maybe the brake master cylinder? I've heard that starts to "knock" when it is starting to go.

Wheel bearings tend to go often. I am experiencing the same "woo woo" as I slow down. Already relplaced 1 bearing at 25k now another one at 40k.

here's one: check to make sure the brake caliper bolts are tight on the rear. I once had one of the two bolts come out and teh caliper was actually swinging out a bit until the inside of the wheel stopped it....

struts can also sound like that. Had the same problem when my D2's blew.

just came back from a friend-mechanic....
the knocking noise was caused by..... (drum roll) brake bads... they were a little bit smaller than they were supposed to be by few millimeters, and every time i was braking they would move up and down hitting the caliper.
what's worse.. that hitting caused all 4 pads to crack...some cracks were small some were huge... i just installed set of new pads... knocking's gone. yey.. these fit perfectly and don't move up and down.

i hope your problem is as simple as mine and it won't cost you a lot to fix.
