Question RE: fuel filter replacement
Have anyone had their "fuel filter" replaced? If so, how many miles did you have? Why did you do it? How much did it cost (incl service)? And what improvements if any did you notice afterwards?

2. 61k on a 2k2 SE 6speed
3. $12.46 (did it myself, sorry)
4. It gave me a slightly better idle, the engine seemed a little "lighter" in terms of reving ability, but I suspect that was psychological
Hope that helps... but I have heard that usually you dont need to replace it before 100k (2k2's anyway), also someone else said that their 2k or 2k1 filter is more like a "sieve" on the bottom of the tank instead of an in-line filter?

I replaced mine at 100K -- was real dirty. Cost of filter was around $10 and the o-ring $8, something of that order but definetly <$25.
What I gained after replacing it, nothing. Did I do anything good for my injectors -- definetly..
