Just bought a used 02 6 speed, clutch adjustment?
Guys,
I just purchased a used 02 6 speed with the original clutch and 71k miles. The clutch feels fine, but there is quite a lot of throw. I prefer a clutch with with a more agressive profile, ie less pedal movement with more stiffness. I dont like having to move my whole leg just to shift.
Is there anyway I can adjust the stock clutch more to my liking, or would I need to have a more agressive aftermarket clutch installed?
Thank you.

you don't need to ush the clutch all the way in to shift....only stop and go
it engages real high...you only need a little bit to shift
**disclamer** if you break something or grind gears i'm not resposible...go slow and see how far you need to go with the clutch before "banging gears"

Yes, it does engage high. When I test drove the vehicle, I didn't ever push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor, thats how I drive all manual cars. The engagement point, though is still a little farther than I'd like. The pedal is also somewhat soft, but I think I'd need to install an aftermarket clutch for that to change. I have no plans of doing any performance mods to any car I own until after school so I wont be installing any aftermarket clutches ever.
After reading that thread and doing some research is seems to me that doing that pedal lowering mod and not pushing the clutch pedal in all the way basically do the same thing. So I won't be touching any cruse sensors or clutch rod bolts. I'm just going to leave everything as is and learn to shift saftely with as little foot movement as the clutch assembly will allow.
