Help!! Underdrive pulley issues on 2002 Auto Maxima

Ok I read the instructions on here and searched the internet with no luck. My question is how do I stop the crankshaft pulley from moving to torque down the crankshaft pulley after its installed. I have tried the following with no luck:

-Held the brakes
-Wedged a screwdriver in the power steering pulley to tighten
-Wedged some wood in there to try to get the pulley from spinning

I remember on my altima I there was a hole on the timing cover but on this car I do not see anything. I am about to take it to firestone and make it there problem but anyways this needs to be added to the Underdrive pulley instructions for autos nontheless. It looks like everythings for 5-speeds ive seen.

Thank You

Stephen

It says put the car in gear and hold the brakes. Doesn't this apply to only 5-speeds?

If you insist on going ahead with this make sure that the UDP has a STEEL sleeve for the front seal contact area. If it doesn't, don't use it and send it back. For loosening and torquing the bolt remove the engine rear cover plate and "jam" the STARTER ring gear with a pry bar or equivalent. (NOT the sensor ring teeth). If you have a mic or vernier measure the sleeve diameter of the UDP and make sure that it's not a smaller diameter than the seal contact surface dia. of the OEM pulley. Probably wise to change the front seal as well.

Does anyone happen to have a picture of this engine rear cover plate? If so we need to add this to the UDP instructions for auto maximas.

Thank You
