Cracked Windshield

So i noticed a crack in my windshield right around the rear view mirror, I dont know if its from the vibrations from the music or i wacked my head off it, or it was there when i got it, but anyways, is there a simple fix to prevent it from spidering any further, i really dont want to replace the windshield.

IT's not vibration, it's probably got struck by a pebble or rock. I know, I'm going through my second windshield as I speak and they are not expensive, it cost me 152 bucks at least it's gonna be brand new, from Safelite glass.

Safelite glass can fix that well prevent it from spidering out like you said. i had the same problem with my other maxima and a friend of a friend that works for safelite fixed it by first drilling into the crack(first layer of the glass) and sucked the air out and then applied some type of liquid substance on it and let it dry and it never cracked further. Also i've heard that nail polish removal supposibly does the same thing.

Liberty Mutual Glass Break Coverage FTMFW!!!

I've heard of the drilling method, but IMHO never put much faith into it. But, apparently, it does work for some small cracks...

I thought ALL full coverage insurance policies replaced cracked windshields for free. I know mine does with state farm and it wasn't an additional charge either. They even come to wherever I need them (work, my house, etc.).

Only if you have glass coverage or your comprehensive(theft, glass) covers it I believe. At least in NY.

I think that only applies in the great state of Florida. Now that is the $hit.

I was going to say, why are all these people paying for their windshield? Doesn't their insurance cover it? Like Orgullo, said, Florida does cover that in their insurance policies.

Woo!

NY insurance policies w/comprehensive automatically get full glass w/$0 deductable, unless you specifically ask to not have it. Because it's really not worth the $27 extra added on to your policy per year ............
