Intake Question

Ok on the intake manifold if your standing in front of the car it would be on your left side, There is a metal plate on the side with 2 screws, and right behind that there is a round looking plug, Mine is somewhat sticking out and i can see part of a O ring on it, i cannot budge it and i dont want to risk breaking it since it appears to be plastic, Is this supposed to look like this ? Or should it be flush ?
Ohh and its a 2000 Max stock

I checked mine. That "bung" or whatever it is looks the same on mine as it does on yours. I tried tapping it in and gently pulling it out. Doesn't want to move, and it's not leaking (vacuum), so I'm going to assume it's normal.
