5th gen hid ballast..pricing?????

i searched and i cant find a dam accurate pricing of these things..
im upgrading my hid's and will be having a set of maxima stock hid ballasts, harness. can some one tell me whats the price of these on the streets, I also will have a set of 12k bulbs with them.

stock used ballast on HIDPLANET go from $130 to $180. I think the ones you have are going on the lower end. Got pics? I might be able to match them up with some of the pricing on HIDPLANET.

im getting extreme blue hid's.
ill have em in by friday. so ill post pics up for u guys to see.

Yeah, I don't think that color temperatuer will be legal. If it looks purple then you'll probably get a ticket for it.

Anything with a higher K rating than stock-type colors are illegal. i.e. anything under about 6000k you'll be ok with.

12k, "extreme blue," "purple"...all of these are way illegal.

not to mention

oh, and they reduce your visibility compared to 5300k.

can anyone tell me whats the best bulb to get?
i need something that pretty dam bright.
will the yellow hid fogs work? or will i lose vision?
i heard 8k is pretty decent.

Irish already told you what is bright. Anything over 6000, you will have less VISIBLE light output. If you are looking for bright white light, then you need to see if the seller will take back the 12K bulbs and swap them for 4300. IIRC, HID fogs are illegal as well.

8k is not yellow...it is bluish.

Since you already have OEM HIDs all you would need to do is swap to a different set of D2R bulbs. $60 shipped ought to get you a new pair.

naw. nowadays you can't do that pricing. I got hooked up with mine thats why mine were well priced.
