ok guys I need to get rid of the rattling when accelerating, specially after a Stop or red light, once and for all, I've try different gas, and still keeps rattling, its just annoying.

Well get a buddy and have him listen where the rattle is coming from while you accelerate the car. There's alot of things that can be wrong but your describtion is vauge, we're not there nex to your car so we cant really diagnose whats wrong with it, we're not magicians. One thing that could be wrong is your exhaust could be rusted out or falling apart ge underneath the car and look for holes, loose nuts, screws, loose or falling of heat shields, shake the pipes around to see if anything inside them is vibrating.

Thanks, the rattling sound when accelerating is more like the beans in a can, even a little more under load. I checked under the car and everything seems intact, no loose parts. I read a few post in the past and the one thing that came across was the change of gas, but haven't had any luck.

im gonna take a stab and guess as to what is doing it as my car rattles a bit on accel. There is a sheild on the exhaust as it comes to meet the y pipe. its almost under the engine. Have a friend put the car in drive. Have them put the car in gear and hold the brake down hard so not to move and have him give it a little gas to create a load on the engine. The rattle should come too and then you can find and remove it. Thats what i did and found it is a heat shield, just havent had time to remove it.

well sometimes the heatshield makes contact w/ the crossmember under the engine and this causes a rattle. Get new motor mounts and the rattle should be gone...Im pretty sure thats your problem. Raise your car and see if the heatshield is touching the crossmember

Actually I removed the heat shield, (rusty) for some reason the car seem to run smoother but the rattling (beans in can) still there, I'll try the motor mounts hopefully it will take care the problem. Thanks

if it is not gone with the shield out i ask this. You say it has , in my words, sounds like ice in a glass being rattled. If so what grade gas do you use. I put 93 in mine but once put 87 to see if it would do anything and it would ping or more correctly know as "detonation" on accel. Changed back to 93 and gone. I dont know what compression threse engines have but high compression needs a better grade of gas. change the grade and let it work its way thru say with one tank of gas and then see if it gone
