Hello,
First, what are the Maxs governed at? 110mph? I have a 2000 SE Auto Trans. I was on my way back from Vegas this weekend (Defcon baby!) and I was doin' 110 for about 3-4 straight. I wanna say it was hangin at about 4000rpm. It wouldn't go any further... so I am assuming that's where it's governed? Anyways, after a couple minutes of doin 110, it downshifted (rpm's jumped to about 5500 - 6000)and went past 110. I dont' what happened. Then, I took my foot off the gas and realized that overdrive had turned off and I couldn't get past 3rd gear. I manually turned overdrive off and on repeatidly, turned off and on cruise control, gassed it, braked, whatever I could think off, but the ****er would not shift into 4th. So I pulled over, turned the car off and back on real quick, and jumped back on the highway. It was still doing it, overdrive wouldn't kick in. So I got to the next city, and turned the bastard off, went and got something to eat, and called my old man. Got back in the car, jumped on the highway, and it worked fine. Had no problems the rest of the way home.

Anyone have any insight for me? I already went to the dealership and of course they are ****ing me around.
Thanks in advance...

Seth

strange stuff.... The car should not be limited to 110. I have had mine up there before and it could have gone past it pretty easily. Besides, the lowest I have heard of an auto SE being governed is like 131 or so. I didn't think that the car would shift back out of O/D past a certain point. But anyhow, something does not sound right. It could be just a glitch in the TCM or ECU, but
