what do you guys think of this drain plug?

just wondering will this drain plug work on my 2000 maxima? will it do any harm to my car? thanx!

It shouldnt do any damage. just like the description said it will attract the particles. i have seen them used alot in smaller engines.

I have a magnetic plug on my other car (not on Nissan). It seems to pick up very small metallic particles.

I guess it couldn't hurt.

But maybe the normal oil filter would pick up the particles anyway?

Seems to be extra insurance and couldn't hurt, but may be overkill. Would I get it again? Probably not. And I don't have one for the Maxima, just happened to get one for my other car by coincidence.

If you are running long Oil change intervals that would be another condition that could benefit from having the magnetic plug.

Just get a magnetic band for your Oil filter. Summit Racing sells them. At least that way It more or less keeps things "clean"

Over kill maybe?? Best is to use a top grade oil and CHANGE regularly.

does anyone know if 12mm X 1.25P is the correct size for the drain plug?
mine is a 2k maxima

dammit, i changed my oil yesterday, changed my drain plug and the crush gasket, i should have gotten one of those from work
