K&N vs. Amsoil Air Filter Intake

Ok, say I don't care about how efficient the filter is (leased car, don't care if the engine gets dirty and doesn't last more than 3 yrs, not my problem), tell me which filter is better and why, which gives better performance?

Rather than relying on the oil for filtration (K&N), the Amsoil uses a foam filter in combo with the oil. Honestly, you won't notice much difference between the two.

Warning on the sizing.
I just got an Amsoil filter in the mail from some dealer. Turns out that the shape and stuff is perfect for the airbox...but it doesn't just drop right in. It took me about 30 min with a pair of scissors and a razor blade to make the filter fit. Not a big deal, but kinda a turn off. What i had to do was cut off excess rubber off the edges.
