Ok, say I don't care about how efficient the filter is (leased car, don't care if the engine gets dirty and doesn't last more than 3 yrs, not my problem), tell me which filter is better and why, which gives better performance?

Rather than relying on the oil for filtration (K&N), the Amsoil uses a foam filter in combo with the oil. Honestly, you won't notice much difference between the two.

http://www.amsoil.com but.. I'm an Amsoil dealer. Rather resell the products, I sign people up as Preferred Customers, which allows you to get the stuff at dealer cost. Several members here have signed up for it (davidl7, lordrandall). The cost is $10/6 month , but you save that amount after the first oil change or any other product you buy. Let me know if you're interested (i'm currently out of forms.. i need to order more)

Went to the web site and there is no listing for a 2k Max. Do you know the model number?

Warning on the sizing.

I just got an Amsoil filter in the mail from some dealer. Turns out that the shape and stuff is perfect for the airbox...but it doesn't just drop right in. It took me about 30 min with a pair of scissors and a razor blade to make the filter fit. Not a big deal, but kinda a turn off. What i had to do was cut off excess rubber off the edges.
